Where We Meet Clients

Most of our appointments happen in Gilroy, San Martin and Morgan Hill, usually at the client's shop, office or farm business during a slow hour. We also travel south and west to Aromas, Prunedale, Las Lomas and Interlaken, and east to Hollister. If your business keeps you busy at certain times of year, tell us when you have room and we will plan around it.

Clients in Watsonville, Freedom and Amesti work with us the same way. These towns sit in several different counties, but life insurance is regulated by the state, so the forms, disclosure rules and policy protections are identical whether you sign in Hollister or Gilroy. One agent can handle the paperwork for all of them.

Rules That Apply Everywhere We Work

  1. 01

    State disclosures before you sign

California requires specific documents with a life insurance application, including an illustration for policies with cash value and a comparison form if a new policy would replace an existing one. We explain what each page means and why the insurer asks for it, so nothing you sign is a mystery.

  2. 02

    The free-look period

After a policy is delivered, California gives you a window to review it and cancel for a refund of premium. The window is longer for buyers age 60 and over. We go over your delivered policy with you so you can use that time well instead of filing it away.

  3. 03

    Underwriting and exams

Insurers set your rate class from your health history, prescription records and sometimes a short paramedical exam. The exam can often be scheduled at your workplace. We tell you up front which questions matter most, because an incomplete answer is a common reason a claim gets reviewed later.

  4. 04

    Beneficiaries and community property

California is a community property state. If premiums are paid with marital income, a spouse may have a claim on part of the proceeds even when someone else is named. We help you set primary and contingent beneficiaries that match your intent, and suggest you confirm estate questions with an attorney.

Set Up a Meeting at Your Business

Tell us which town you are in and when you can spare an hour. We will bring quotes for term life, universal life, final expense or mortgage protection coverage and explain the paperwork before anything is signed.
